I was an employee from 1991 -2018. Being a part of The Nordstrom family has always been my credo even in retirement. Over the years I met Blake through many store visits in the east coast. That smile was always genuine but you knew he was serious. When your game was on point, he never failed to acknowledge your efforts. His warmth transcended through every visit and my goal was always to make a good impression- just to see that big smile. Even when as an HR manager I had to follow up with Blake over a customer issue, he never made me feel he was disappointed. he coached, encouraged and followed up.
I understand death but am truly shaken by this man gone too soon.
I pray Gods peace and blessing to the entire Nordstrom family as we process this loss.
