My favorite memory of Blake
I’ve been with the company for 10 years and my career with Nordstrom has always been a positive one. It’s been comforting to know the company I work for, is supported by a great family who genuinely care about their employees. I was fortunate enough to meet Blake a couple years ago, while working at Store 1 in the operator’s booth. The executive assistants were out for a holiday outing and they asked that one of the operators help answers phones on the 6th floor, where the executive team sits. I went upstairs not knowing Blake was there, and that he had a different plan for me. He wanted me to be his assistant for the day and help type his emails and do clerical work for him. It was simply the best experience I’ve ever had working with company. Having the opportunity and chance to work with the CEO of the company was incredible. The next year it was requested for me to go back and help again, during the holiday season (I must have done something right, haha)! This picture is from 2012, when I was awarded All-Star, which was another highlight of my career. Blake, you are missed tremendously! Thank you for always being you and staying true to everyone around you and making us feel proud to be Nordstrom employees.
