I was fortunate enough to have the honor of meeting Blake twice and the first time is truly the reason that I love working for this company. It was my first corporate walk and this towering man in a suit comes up and introduces himself as Blake Nordstrom. Of course, I immediately start to panic inside and all of the information that I wanted to share during the visit was forgotten. The crazy thing is, he wasn’t interested in the product knowledge, sales figures, sell-through, etc. he was interested in learning about me and my entire team. He listened, asked questions and taught me how an interest in people instead of product can make your business happen. It was truly a career changing moment for me. My prayers and thoughts are with the entire Nordstrom family
