A couple years ago Blake hosted a rally at our store in Scottsdale 380. As usual he ended his remarks by opening it up to the floor for employee questions and comments. I had an idea I wanted to share but never worked up the courage to raise my hand. Later that day I emailed him my idea. He responded the next day thanking me for my suggestion and CC’ed Paige Boggs for her consideration. My story may seem minor but for me it reinforced why I have been a Nordstrom Employee for nearly 20 years… each of us matter. Blake made me feel that my time here hasn’t been taken for granted. I will always remember how important he made me feel. He will be missed.
