Absolutely shocking news today. Blake was a compassionate and inspiring leader who cared deeply for his customers, employees and the community. So many acts of kindness and humility that will never make the pages of any article because he gave selflessly and often – it was who he was and will forever remain in our memories. For me, he’ll always be “one take Blake” — he’d arrive on set, shake everyone’s hand and say hello looking them in the eye, thanking them for all their hard work to pull together the shoot while I quickly talked him through his messages. He’d sit down, we’d roll the cameras and he’d deliver a message that sounded nothing like I’d written and, of course, it was perfect. It was a lesson in leadership to watch him connect with people and make them feel like they were the most important person in the room. His passing is a great loss to our community and to the Nordstrom family. Rest in peace, Blake. You will be greatly missed but your legacy will live on in the many lives you touched. 💔
