It is impossible to adequately describe how saddened I am by Blake’s passing. We will all miss Blake’s humor, smile and kindness. Blake was a great and humble leader, who went out of his way to make people feel appreciated, heard and understood. I can honestly say I have never been in a room with Blake, be it a recognition meeting or a small SteerCo, without feeling better about the work we were doing and how much it was appreciated. The last thing I said to Blake after hearing the news of his diagnosis was “Take care of yourself, we really need you around here. ” He leaves behind some very big shoes to fill and will be missed very much.
