Working for the company for 13 years, you get familiar with the Nordstrom family. Having never worked in stores and always in a support role, you can imagine my surprise when Blake would visit the Nordstrom Bank in Scottsdale, and not only introduce himself and speak to us individually, but then upon returning at a later time, remember your name, things you talked about etc. You want to talk about a human who was genuine and kind, Blake was it! His smile, his demeanor and his overall attitude as a leader are things I quickly grew to admire over the years. He was such a wonderful man and his absence is felt company wide. It didn’t matter who you were, Blake made you feel special. We will miss you, you sweet, kindhearted man! Blessings to your family.
