I will always remember Blake as a role model for this saying, even though it was coined by his father. As a father I could think of no bigger honor than children who embody your own beliefs.

Blake was so gracious, and so engaging, every encounter was memorably meaningful. I hope those of us at Nordstrom will be enthused to ourselves leave it better than we find it, carrying on that passion. I for one will strive to make each encounter with customers, coworkers, family, friends or even strangers memorably meaningful. Blake’s memory inspires this in me. He will be missed.
