I started with the company in February of 2015. Since day one there was always one name that everyone held at the tip of their tongue.

The name was Blake.
Now in my head at the time all I heard was “corporate head honcho”…. Boy was I wrong. The presence that Blake had upon meeting him the first time was outright inspiring. He was such a warm person. Words cannot explain just how great of a human being he was. Always ear to ear with such a delightful smile.

You see…. Nordstrom isn’t like any other store in the world.
We are a family. We not only care for one another.. but its truly a certain love that we all spread throughout every store, every department and every stockroom. He had that. He had “it”. He would walk into a room and EVERYONE would immediately feel his warming presence.
If you ever had the chance to meet him, you’ll know what I mean.

We lost a great man. Yet his spirit lives on in all of us.

Blake Nordstrom….You’ve changed my life. Even if you never knew it. For that I am forever grateful.

Rest in peace. Too bad heaven doesn’t have a “Nordstrom” return policy.
